“Uncharted” is our second overland vehicle build. It is Land Rover Discovery 2 Td5, which meant a huge power (and fuel efficiency) difference from our previous Disco 1.

The Disco 2 is slightly bigger than our old Disco 1 which helped a lot in gaining more packing space.

We bought the car in 2022 and immediately started converting it to our dream tourer. Having experience with the “Disco platform”, made deciding on how to set up the interior a way easier job. Our top priority was to keep the interior simple (compared to our previous build) and avoid overpacking.

The Roof Top Tent that we decided to go with was the Alu Cab Gen 3.1, which is again a top quality Roof Tent, not as roomy as the ARB one but way faster when setting it up and folding it down; literally taking only a few seconds. It also allowed us to be able to carry stuff on top like surfboards etc.

So far our Disco 2 has been a comfortable, capable and reliable ride (maybe leaking a bit of oil along the way..)
