Land Rover Discovery 2 Td5
Land Rover Discovery 2 named “Uncharted”.
“Uncharted” is our second overland vehicle build. It is a Land Rover Discovery 2 with the Td5 engine, which meant a huge power (and fuel efficiency) difference from our previous Disco 1.
The Disco 2 is slightly bigger than our old Disco 1 which helped a lot in gaining more packing space.
We bought the car in 2022 and immediately started converting it into our dream tourer. Having experience with the “Disco platform” helped on deciding how to set up the interior and improve on our previous build.
The Roof Top Tent we decided to go with this time, was the Alu Cab Gen 3.1, not as roomy as the ARB one but way faster when setting up and folding down; literally taking only a few seconds to do so. We've been travelling with this tent for almost two years now and as much as we love it we needed to change it, as we had bought it second hand (meaning it had a few "kilometres" on the clock) and we wanted to go fro something lighter and lower profile (but still to be a hardshell tent). So, 2024 and we replaced it with our Hawk's Nest Low Pro by Feldon Shelter!
So far our Disco 2 has been a comfortable, capable and reliable ride (maybe leaking a bit of oil along the way..)
